A sighting cannot be guaranteed.

Our Highlights
In Search of the Rafflesia
Deep in the Khao Sok rainforest grows Rafflesia kerrii, known locally as "Bua Phut". Measuring around 70–80 centimetres across, it is Thailand's largest flower. The best chance of seeing one in bloom is usually between November and April, though each bloom lasts only a few days, so we recommend asking in advance whether a Rafflesia is currently flowering.
Rafflesia is a parasitic plant that depends on a host vine, attracting flies for pollination with its distinctive scent. During the hike, please stay on the designated paths and avoid touching the flowers or buds.
Explore Khao Sok on Foot
The trail map at Khao Sok National Park is the starting point for a walk into the rainforest. Along the way, you may discover streams, waterfalls and the remarkable Rafflesia flower when it is in bloom.
Trail conditions and flowering change with the season. Check the current route with park staff and explore with a local guide for a closer look at the forest.
Bamboo Rafting on the Khlong Sok River
Sit back on a traditional bamboo raft and drift gently along the Khlong Sok River.

Tham Phanthurat: A Cave, a Legend and Monkeys
Near Khao Sok, Tham Phanthurat invites you to discover a place where nature meets Thai folklore. At the cave entrance stands a statue of Nang Phanthurat, a character from the story of Sang Thong.
Look around the rocky surroundings and you may also spot monkeys living nearby. Enjoy watching them from a respectful distance.
A Waterfall Along the Trail
A walk through the Khao Sok rainforest may lead you to a waterfall tucked among the trees.
Stop for a moment, listen to the flowing water and enjoy the calm of the forest. What you discover along the way depends on the route and season.
Wildlife and Nature
Along the trail, you may spot monkeys, hornbills or other wildlife. Sightings are never guaranteed.
During the rainy season, watch out for leeches and wear suitable walking shoes.
