Discover the Wonders of Nature in Khao Sok National Park. Experience the breathtaking scenery of the Ratchaprapa Dam, cruise by longtail boat to the most stunning viewpoints, and visit the mysterious Coral Cave – accessible only by bamboo raft.
Sturdy footwear is recommended for the bamboo raft ride.
The journey to Coral Cave is an experience in itself. First, we travel by boat past the limestone cliffs of Ratchaprapha Lake.
Then we continue by bamboo raft before walking into the cave to see its remarkable rock formations.
Coral Cave is located in the Ratchaprapha Reservoir (Cheow Lan Lake) area. The boat ride across the lake, surrounded by limestone mountains, is part of the experience. To reach the cave, you take a short walk through nature followed by a bamboo raft ride.
Inside, you can see delicate rock formations that resemble coral and give the cave its name. The exact route may change depending on the weather and local conditions.
The Laguna Chiewlarn is a floating raft house in the middle of Ratchaprapha (Cheow Lan) Reservoir, with 360-degree views of the mountains. Surrounded by rugged limestone peaks and emerald-green water, it is a quiet and private retreat.
The open-air restaurant lets you enjoy the fresh breeze while choosing from a wide menu: local southern Thai dishes, Western food and Halal options for Muslim guests.
Hidden among the limestone hills of Ratchaprapha Lake, Coral Cave offers a peaceful moment away from the open water.
Inside, you can take your time to admire the delicate rock formations that give the cave its name. The journey by boat, bamboo raft and on foot makes the visit an experience from start to finish.
The suspension bridge at Wat Khao Phang offers a view of a naturally formed heart-shaped mountain (Khao Thep Phithak) in the background.
Surrounded by nature, river and forested hills, the bridge is ideal for a scenic walk and memorable photos. It is located near the Ratchaprapha Dam (Cheow Lan Dam).
Khao Sam Kler (literally "Three Buddies") is a landmark of Ratchaprapha (Cheow Lan) Reservoir in Khao Sok National Park, Surat Thani Province. Three limestone peaks rise from the emerald-green water, surrounded by nature and a wide expanse of water. Thanks to this scenery, the area is often called the "Guilin of Thailand".
On a longtail boat ride you can take souvenir photos with the mountain. By kayak or canoe you experience the clear water and surrounding nature up close, and on a floating raft run by the national park or a private operator you can even stay overnight.
Fresh breeze, stillness and the vastness of Ratchaprapha (Cheow Lan) Reservoir: on a longtail boat you feel the freedom of nature and will want to stretch your arms wide.
Strangely shaped limestone mountains rise from the shimmering water – one of the highlights of Khao Sok and a popular photo motif on the boat ride. Keep your phone ready to capture the best moments.
A walk along the top of the dam reveals two sides of this remarkable place. On one side, the power of water is used to generate electricity.
On the other, the view opens across Cheow Lan Lake and the surrounding green mountains – a scene worth pausing to enjoy.
