An Elephant Feeding Experience at the Elephant Home
At the Elephant Home, you can spend time meeting the elephants and taking part in one of the most enjoyable activities of the visit: feeding them. Each guest receives one basket of food, so everyone has a chance to participate. Watch how the elephant uses her trunk to reach towards the food, grasp it and bring it to her mouth with remarkable control.
The mahout stays nearby throughout the feeding activity, showing you where to stand and how to offer the food. The elephants' daily meals are also provided by the people who care for them; the food guests offer is an additional treat.
Dress Code and Conduct
Dress politely and modestly (avoid tank tops, backless tops, or shorts/skirts above the knee). Remove your shoes before entering the ordination hall (Ubosot) or sanctuary (Viharn).
Maintain a quiet and respectful demeanor, set your mobile phone to silent, and bow to the principal Buddha image using the traditional five-point prostration.

Relaxing Bamboo Rafting in Khao Lak
Sit back on a traditional bamboo raft and let the river carry you through Khao Lak's green surroundings. Trees line the banks, and the clear water lets you enjoy the scenery as you glide gently downstream.
A local raftman steers the raft for you, so there is no need to paddle. The journey usually takes around 45 minutes to one hour depending on the water level, an easy, relaxing way to see another side of Khao Lak.
Wat Khuk Khak
Wat Khuk Khak, officially known as Wat Khomniyakhet, is a Buddhist temple in the Khuk Khak area of Takua Pa, founded in 1909. It has long been a place of worship and community life for local residents.
Take time to look at the murals inside the ordination hall, and learn about Luang Por Waeng, a former abbot who remains deeply respected by local worshippers.
